This was a spreadsheet calculator I developed when I took my timber design course. The calculator features capabilities for calculating beam stability factors as well as the required section moduli to satisfy bending requirements. The calculator allows a user to choose ASD or LRFD, input adjustment factors, and stresses to design sawn lumber beams. Some cells have notes to assist the user in inputting correct values and others have warnings if users enter values that are beyond a specified range or type.
