This project demonstrates the design and construction of a traffic light controller that senses the presence of a car at a 4-way intersection and triggers a traffic light control sequence. It was implemented using the Artix-7 FPGA board designed by Xilinx and necessary LED bulbs for laboratory demonstration. To verify the functionality, a stopwatch was used to time the control signals for each traffic signal as explained in the report. The project was programmed using Verilog and was conducted as a part of the Digital Circuit Design Using Verilog course, and was completed under the supervision of Dr. Toma Sacco.
