Treated as materials to be manipulated by the designer, the site conditions of
light, shade and time; pedestrian circulation; hardscape vs. softscape; topography and texture were mapped, diagrammed, and analyzed as related to human behavior in the processes of occupation, engagement, possession, and habitation. In our site, we observed that people interacted most often in the shaded areas provided by the trees. As shown above, people prefer to interact within the parameters of the site, as indicated by the individual drip lines produced by the trees to the ground.
