This project was completed in Business Communication (BUS 3000) under professor Jeanne Almaraz. My group and I were tasked with researching, understanding, and developing information based on our future marketing careers. In our presentation, we define marketing, what skills are required for marketers, what jobs exist in the marketing field, and what resources exist at Cal Poly Pomona for marketing majors.
The team performed very effectively. Not a single individual procrastinated, and every individual carried their own weight. Each of us communicated on a daily basis, thus ensuring work was completed and not duplicated. Before our presentation we practiced several times. Because this project took place during COVID-19, we wanted to ensure our technology was performing properly. In the end, it payed off remarkably. I believe we were one of the few groups that had no technical problems. It has been, by far, the best group project I have ever worked on.
