Sensor system that monitors the pressure of air lines connected to each Ink container. If the pressure begins to drop out of a preset range, the pump will automatically shut off after two minutes if the drop is sustained and an alert will be sent to the operator(s), as well as an alarm. The pumps will also automatically shut down for 5 minutes every day in order to update preset values to minimize the chances of false alarms.

The system was created due to the fact that pumps were constantly being burned out because they kept pumping through empty containers. Before this system was made, the only way to check if the ink had run out was doing it manually.

It uses an Allen Bradley SLC 500 PLC.
