My class project for CS245: Programming Graphical User Interfaces, was to create a series of mini-games using Java Swing. The first was Hangman. A random word is chosen from a small selection and you had to guess it in the typical Hangman style. The next was a color choosing game. Several different colored items appeared and you had to choose the item that matched the text (not the color of the text) displayed. The third gave you a Sudoku grid to fill out. It was the same grid every time.
We were allowed to work in groups, so I teamed up with my brother, Ben. The prospect of finally using GUIs instead of the command line for our programs excited us, so we decided to decorate the game and theme it around various video games. At the end of the class, everyone presented their projects, and ours was easily the most impressive.
