Arraying cubes with interweaved and exposed greenery inside helps to show the initial dichotomy I was presented - solid yet permeable. The pattern of rotated cubes with it in a pattern that can easily be traced with a single stroke of a pen helps to create unity while disrupting order through the lack of symmetry. By providing shade, shelter, and refuge for those who visit, it becomes more apparent that this was designed for people to enjoy and observe, not “just as another art installation.”
