In my apparel production class, I constructed a summer blouse with gray tie-dye fabric and interfacings that I chose myself. I used the bodice and collar patterns that I drafted myself to trace onto the fabric. I also learned how to use facings to add structure to my garment around the collar area. I only had experience with hand-sewing, so this project was a great learning experience for me to learn about the apparel production process. It was fun to create this whole garment from scratch using my own patterns.
